Developmental Checklist for Four to Six Months<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

How do I know when I should consider therapy for my child?<\/strong> Please refer to the Developmental Checklist for Four to Six Months<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please\nreview the list below, <\/strong>one or two\nconcerns should not cause alarm.<\/strong> It\nis important to look at your child\u2019s overall tendencies and clusters of\nbehavior<\/strong>. If your child is not frequently and consistently demonstrating\nmore than a few of the listed items in each age category, print a copy of the\nlist, and check your concerns.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where more than a few concerns are found in a child, we recommend\nyou speak with your primary care physician [PCP] and have a discussion about\nwhether to obtain a referral for an assessment by Speech Language Therapy or\nOccupational Therapy. The referral should be for a Speech Language Therapist\nand \/ or Occupational Therapist professional, who is experienced with working\nin child development.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
